What is a car PDI?
PDI stands for pre-delivery inspection. A trained person goes over the car before it is handed to you, so problems can be raised with the dealer before you accept delivery.
Why should I get an independent PDI?
The dealership has a PDI process of its own, but it works for the seller. An independent inspector works for you, checks against a structured list, and documents what is found so you can decide with facts.
What if the dealership refuses to allow the inspection?
Please tell us as soon as you know. We cannot force access to a dealership. We will note what happened, and you can decide how to proceed. How a refusal affects fees is explained in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
What if JaachPadtal finds a major issue?
It goes into your report with photographs and a recommendation. You can raise it with the dealer, ask for it to be fixed or reviewed, and decide whether to accept the car.
Can I cancel delivery after the inspection?
The decision to accept or refuse delivery is yours. Whether you can cancel the purchase depends on your agreement with the dealer and applicable rules, so please check that with the dealer. We provide inspection findings, not legal advice.
Does JaachPadtal negotiate with the dealership?
No. We inspect and report. You take the findings to the dealership and decide what to ask for.
Does the inspection guarantee that the vehicle has no defects?
No. Our inspection provides an independent assessment based on the selected inspection scope. It does not guarantee that a vehicle is free from hidden, internal or future defects, and it is not a warranty.
Can you inspect a car outside Delhi NCR?
We currently serve Delhi NCR. If you are in another city, tell us your city and we will contact you when we expand there.
Can you perform an OBD scan?
Yes, where the vehicle is compatible and the scan is available. OBD scanning depends on the vehicle and the equipment, so we do not promise it for every car.
Can you perform a road test?
Where the dealership permits it and conditions are safe and suitable. Dealership access may limit what we can do, and we will record anything we could not check.
How quickly will I receive the report?
We tell you the expected report time when we confirm your booking. You can see when your report is ready on the Track Your PDI page.
How can I track my PDI?
Open Track Your PDI and enter your Booking ID and the mobile number, name and PDI date you gave while booking. You then see your live status and, when ready, your report. We also email your booking details and status updates to the email address you gave us.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can track your PDI using your Booking ID and the mobile number, name and PDI date you gave while booking.
How much does it cost, and do I pay now?
PDI starts from ₹999*. The final price depends on the vehicle, location and inspection requirements. There is no payment on the booking form. We confirm the price when we call you.
Where are you based?
Our office is in Chhatarpur, New Delhi, 110074. Our inspectors travel to the dealership where your car is waiting.
